satu benda yang aku cukup bangga dengan british is that, they are honest. walaupon di dalam hal yg cukup remeh. mereka tidak bermuka-muka.
contoh mudah; kalaulah anda membeli sekotak jus. there is no such thing as pewarna yg dibenarkan. perisa yg dibenarkan. apa yg dimaksudkan dengan "yang dibenarkan"? mereka catatkan saja kandungan yg terkandung didalam jus tersebut. all of them.
in lectures. they have the strength and confidence to tell others even the lecturers that, "no, you're wrong"
tapi kita. seperti selalunya kita. tak boleh menerima kritikan. sudahlah tak mahu menerima kenyataan, di serang pula orang yang memberi kritikan. sikap yang menyekat dan mengongkong malaysian, melayu khususnya untuk berfikir di luar kotak.
ya mungkin tindakan Jeremy Clarkson itu melampau. mungkin beliau exaggerated dalam meng"express" kekecewaan terhadap kualiti Kelisa.tapi yg harus diberi perhatian adalah komen2 beliau tentang kekurangan Kelisa. bukan melabel JC seperti seorang pengkritik bola sepak yang tidak tahu menyepak bola!
kononlah mahukan rakyat glokal, rakyat minda kelas pertama. angan-angan mat jenin putrajaya!

My friend and I were in this Muslim bro (local)'s car and we had earlier told him where we live. But then when we got near to our place, he just went straight towards Fllwfield because he confused our place with Own's Park.
But we didn't say anything until he asked, "So can I just drop you off here?"
That was when we explained, and he said, "You could've stopped me when I went the wrong way." and then while making the U-turn he said, "Masyaallah, so polite..."
TOO polite, I would say. I don't think it's just me. We (Malays? Msians?) are SOOO not used to correcting people even when it would benefit them and save their time. Sigh.

I'm an ardent fan of Jeremy Clarkson and the 2 goons - not because I like cars, but because I can't help but be entertained by their wry sense of humour. So they think Kelisa sucks,it is expected of them. They are car enthusiasts! They go for cars with attitude. Even the generally accepted good cars can't pass by them without any mockery. That's what they do for living!
Just because he totally zeroed the Kelisa does not mean it is not a 'good enough' car for us Malaysians and for the specific target market.
Perodua has been known to make cheap, ugly, nothing-to-do-with-performance-or-attitude but reliable cars. They don't breakdown as easily as lets say... Citroen or Alfa. Jeremy & the goons don't get this. Not their cup of tea at all.
So Perodua has been attempting to create some flairs in their cars off late, which they managed mostly in their advertisements, let them be, they're trying. The company is relatively young.
So please hold your tongue (and your fingers) the next time you want to belittle Malaysian cars or to agree with people who do.
As for the abdul rahman fellow, yes, he sucks, big time! He just wants to be HEARD as DOING his job!
